Demand on ourselves:
DEVELOP THE BEST WHEELS
With our ambitious aspirations to develop the best wheels, we found Prof. Eric Helter (Centre of image). The Münster-based aerodynamics expert and passionate cyclist has been contributing his expertise and skills to the development of aero wheels ever since. With WASO technology, we are ushering in a new era in our Leeze product selection and catapulting ourselves directly into the Champions League on the wheel market. No product reaches our WASO standards in a range comparable in price. We pursue a very simple goal: to produce the coolest wheels on the market. Perfectly matched to your intended use - and we have achieved that!

Eric on the aerodynamics of Leeze wheels:
Optimised for your best performance
The WASO technology
Weight
We achieve record weights through enormously light and perfectly matched components. We continue to use the proven and rigidity-enhancing combination of Sapim CX-Ray and the slightly thicker CX-Sprint knife spokes for the drive side in the rear wheel.
Aero
Many different wind tunnel tests quickly explode the development costs for new wheels. For this reason, we have decided to focus on digital analyses. In order to obtain a solid and reliable basis for future wheel development, we have of course also verified our digital CFD analyses in some basic wind tunnel tests.
Stiffness
Based on intensive FEM analyses, we achieve a very high rigidity with our wheelsets despite their extremely low weight. The fibre orientation, the fibre volume (proportion of fibres to resin) as well as the number of fibres could not only be precisely predicted, but also implemented with equal precision using a new braiding process.
Optimized
With our ambitious claim to produce the best wheels on the market, we found Prof. Eric Helter. In retrospect, we can say that with Eric we found the best developer we could imagine for such a project: Eric has intensive and long-standing experience from aerospace engineering and the automotive industry. Together we were able to optimise the WASO wheels perfectly
The best expert we can think of for:
High performance optimised wheelsets
We can say that with Eric we have found the best developer we could imagine for such a project: Eric not only has the usual intensive, long-standing experience from aerospace technology and the automotive industry, he also already designed and optimised the skis for Olympic champion Michi Greis. In addition, he is a border crosser, always coming up with new, burning ideas that others wouldn't dare to think of. This, too, has already brought him many groundbreaking successes and widespread recognition among the world's motorsport elite. He himself - like us - is a passionate cyclist and lives for cycling as well as his enthusiasm for aerodynamics. Together with him, we have spent thousands of hours making many high-performance computers glow. With extensive FEM and CFD analyses, each wheelset was optimised for its intended use in terms of weight, aerodynamics and stiffness in such a way that a product was created that is second to none.
Optimised down to the last gram
Low weight = fast acceleration
We achieve record weights through enormously light and perfectly matched components. Our lightest wheels start at under 1250g. If you buy heavier and more expensive, it's your own fault. For the best experience in the high mountains.
UNLIMITED POWER TRANSMISSION
Rigidity that is second to none
Based on intensive FEM analyses, we achieve a very high stiffness with our wheelsets despite their extremely low weight. The fibre orientation, the fibre volume (proportion of fibres to resin) as well as the number of fibres could not only be precisely predicted, but also implemented with equal precision using a new braiding process. For the first time, we have also tailored the rims to the hubs used. The 2:1 spoke pattern, which is used in the majority of wheelsets, ensures unprecedented power transmission with double the number of spokes on the drive side in the rear wheel. The prototypes were pre-tested and verified several times during development on the in-house test bench for testing wheel rigidity (lateral, torsional and radial rigidity).
We continue to use the proven and rigidity-promoting combination of Sapim CX-Ray and the slightly thicker CX-Sprint knife spokes for the drive side in the rear wheel.
