What we expect of ourselves:
DEVELOPING THE BEST WHEELS
Our ambitious vision led us to Prof. Eric Helter (center of photo). Since then, this Münster-based aerodynamics expert and passionate cyclist has been contributing his expertise and skills to the development of aero wheels. With WASO technology, we’re ushering in a new era for our Leeze product line and catapulting ourselves straight into the top tier of the wheel market. No product meets our WASO standards in a comparable price range. We’re pursuing a very simple goal: to produce the coolest wheels on the market. Perfectly tailored to your needs—and we’ve achieved that!

Optimized for your best performance
WASO Technology

Weight
Thanks to components that are extremely lightweight and perfectly matched to one another, we achieve record-breaking weights. We also continue to rely on the proven, stiffness-enhancing combination of Sapim CX-Ray spokes and the slightly thicker CX-Sprint knife-blade spokes for the drive side of the rear wheel.

Aero
Conducting numerous wind tunnel tests can quickly drive up development costs for new wheels. For this reason, we decided to focus on digital analysis. To ensure a solid and reliable foundation for future rim development, we naturally verified our digital CFD analyses through a few fundamental wind tunnel tests.

Stiffness
Through extensive FEM analysis, we have achieved a very high level of stiffness in our wheels despite their extremely low weight. Not only were the fiber orientation, fiber volume fraction (ratio of fibers to resin), and fiber count precisely determined in advance, but they were also accurately implemented using an innovative braiding process.

Optimized
Driven by our ambitious goal of producing the best wheels on the market, we turned to Prof. Eric Helter. Looking back, we can say that in Eric we found the best developer we could have imagined for such a project: Eric brings extensive, long-standing experience in aerospace engineering and the automotive industry. Together, we were able to perfectly optimize the WASO wheels

The best expert we can imagine for:
High-performance wheel sets
We can say that in Eric, we have found the best developer we could have imagined for a project like this: Not only does Eric have the usual extensive, long-standing experience in aerospace engineering and the automotive industry, but he has also designed and optimized skis for Olympic champion Michi Greis. Furthermore, he is a trailblazer, constantly coming up with new, bold ideas that others wouldn’t dare to consider. This, too, has already brought him many groundbreaking successes and widespread recognition among the world’s motorsport elite. He himself—like us—is a passionate cyclist and is just as enthusiastic about cycling as he is about aerodynamics. Together with him, we have put thousands of hours of work into high-performance computers. Using extensive FEM and CFD analyses, each wheelset has been optimized for its intended use in terms of weight, aerodynamics, and stiffness, resulting in a product that is second to none.
Optimized down to the last gram
Lightweight = quick acceleration
Thanks to components that are incredibly lightweight and perfectly matched to one another, we achieve record-breaking weights. Our lightest wheels start at under 1,250 grams. If you choose something heavier and more expensive, you only have yourself to blame. For the ultimate experience in the high mountains.
UNLIMITED POWER TRANSMISSION
Unparalleled rigidity
Through extensive FEM analyses, we have achieved exceptionally high stiffness in our wheels despite their extremely low weight. Not only were the fiber orientation, fiber volume content (ratio of fibers to resin), and fiber count precisely determined in advance, but they were also accurately implemented using an innovative weaving process. For the first time, we have also tailored the rims to the hubs they are paired with. The predominantly used 2:1 spoke pattern, with double the number of spokes on the drive side of the rear wheel, ensures unprecedented power transmission. During development, the prototypes were pre-tested and verified multiple times on our in-house test bench to assess wheel stiffness (lateral, torsional, and radial stiffness).
We continue to rely on the proven, stiffness-enhancing combination of Sapim CX-Ray and the slightly thicker CX-Sprint knife-blade spokes for the drive side of the rear wheel.
