Innovative brake pads with an enlarged contact surface! When it comes to wheel development, we’ve been unstoppable—and our wheels are designed to deliver the best braking performance. To achieve this, we’ve developed our very own brake pads from scratch: We utilized algorithms from motorsports to calculate the tread pattern of rain tires. The development of a special compound was carried out in Taiwan by our long-standing partner, who brings decades of expertise in manufacturing for the world’s leading cycling brands. The focus was on reliable braking performance and perfect modulation in dry conditions, but especially in wet conditions. The grooves in our brake pads are designed to quickly remove dirt and moisture from the braking surface. Thanks to the 37% larger contact area, braking temperature can be significantly reduced, and improved modulation of braking power is achieved. For our CC EVO WASO models: Shimano extra-wide, for our CC & CT models up to model year 2018: Standard width.
