Information on the Road Boost axle standard
The Road Boost axle standard combines the familiar 12mm thru-axles with wider mounting widths of 110mm instead of the usual 100mm on the front wheel and 148mm instead of 140mm on the rear wheel. The wheels should therefore gain lateral stiffness and the frame should offer more tyre clearance. This axle dimension is mainly used in the e-road bike segment, but also occasionally in gravel bikes, such as the Focus Atlas.
