The ultracycling adventure THE ALPS follows a set route through the stunning mountain scenery of the Bavarian, Austrian, and Italian Alps, until riders finally reach the southwestern end of Lake Garda. It is a bikepacking event in which participants receive no support along the route and are therefore on their own from start to finish. The route takes riders through deep valleys, over high peaks, and past some of the most picturesque landscapes in the Alps. Mostly on loose terrain (61%), but still with enough paved sections (39%) to qualify as an all-road adventure. In total, riders will cover approximately 630 km and 22,000 meters of elevation gain.
